Fairbanks Area Resources:
Wild Rose Summer Camp and CSA Garden

Summer just wouldn't be summer with the magic of Wild Rose Camp! The Kerndt-Mayo Family offers one-week day camp sessions in their spacious hay field filled with softly undulating grasses and widflowers. Children spend their days dipping beeswax candles, learning about natural dyes, batiking silk, felting, mucking about in the mud building a wood fired oven, singing, playing games, and just plain frolicking in the field. They also operate a CSA vegetable program and children are encouraged to help out in the "secret" garden. My boys would not miss camp for anything!

Waldorf Resources on the Web
Alliance for Childhood promotes policies and practices that support children’s healthy development, love of learning, and joy in living. Their public education campaigns bring to light both the promise and the vulnerability of childhood. They act for the sake of the children themselves and for a more just, democratic, and ecologically responsible future.
